Qoleq (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an event photo collection service that lets organizers create events and guests upload and view photos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights. By using Qoleq, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
From event organizers: Event name, event date, and any details you enter when creating or managing an event (e.g. theme, settings). If we send you an organizer link or receipts, we use the email address you provide for that purpose.
From guests: The name or nickname you provide when uploading photos, the photos you upload, and any optional captions.
Automatically: Log data (e.g. IP address, type of request, errors) to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not use your photos for analytics, advertising, or any purpose other than providing the service.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not: access, view, or use guest photos for any purpose other than storing, displaying, and deleting them as described in this policy; use your photos for advertising, marketing, AI/ML, or selling to third parties; or sell or rent your personal information.
Photos are stored with Cloudinary, our image storage provider, so we can serve and display them reliably. Only the event’s organizer and people with the event link (guests) can view the photos for that event. We do not browse, view, or use your photos for any other purpose. Photos are kept only for the period described in the “Retention and Deletion” section below.
Active period (by plan):
After the active period: When an event’s active period ends, we mark it as expired. After a short grace period (currently 30 days), we permanently delete all photos from our storage and remove the event and all related photo records from our database. We do not retain backups of deleted event photos. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
If we offer a way for organizers to delete an event or request deletion of their data, we will permanently delete photos and event data in the same way as above.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only: (1) with our storage provider (Cloudinary) to store, serve, and delete photos; (2) with our email provider for transactional emails; (3) with our payment provider for payments; (4) when required by law, court order, or to protect our or others’ rights, safety, or property; or (5) with your consent. We do not share your photos with advertisers or other third parties for their marketing or other purposes.
We use industry-standard measures (including HTTPS and secure storage) to protect your data. No system can be completely secure; we work to protect the information you give us.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update event details and, where supported, guest names or captions yourself. Organizers can delete their event (and we will permanently delete photos as described above). To exercise these rights or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, contact us using the details below.
We use only cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the service (e.g. session management, security). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, but some features may not work correctly.
Qoleq is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
If you use Qoleq from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your data may be transferred to and processed in that country. We take steps to ensure your data is protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of Qoleq after the change means you accept the updated policy. If changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice where appropriate.
For privacy-related questions, requests, or complaints, contact us at events@qoleq.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
